Selecting a Lineup
Choosing your players very carefully is important in maximizing your point total. Here are a few things to keep in mind when choosing your roster:
- Match Dates - Not every team plays a match each night, but you can set your lineup each night. Make sure your lineup is made up entirely of players that have a match each night.
- Tiers Played - Typically, a Tier VIII will score more points than a Tier VI tank. You are allowed to have 7 players on your roster and it doesn't matter what tier tank they play, their score will always be applied to your fantasy team, so choosing a full lineup of players that often play a Tier VIII tank may be the best solution. It's worth noting that on occasion, a player will score a lot of points when they perform extraordinarily well in a lower-tier vehicle.
- Look at Players' Past Matches - You can click on any WGL player's name to see their league profile. This will tell you their statistics, scoring history, tanks played, map history, and even some statistics for the player's personal account. This is all valuable information when deciding what player to choose.
- Choose Players from the Right Teams - The team a player plays for can be as important for scoring points as the player themselves. Some teams lose or win fast, and will have fewer battles played in a night. Some teams play very aggressively or passively, and score more points in some categories than others. Learning how teams typically perform is as important as knowing how a player performs.
- Pay Attention to the Matchup - Looking at who someone is playing can give you insight about how a match will go, and can help you decide if a player is likely to score well that night.
